The JK Crawler Front Skid Is An Optional Addition To The JK Crawler Series Front Bumper. This Skid Attaches To The Bottom Of The Crawler Bumper To Conceal And Protect The Stock "Crash Bar". This Product Is Finished In Black w. Poison Spyders Proprietary Spydershell Armor Coat Process. Precision Brake-Formed For A Precise Fit To The Crawler Bumper. The Faceted Design Is Engineered To Be Low Profile Yet Heavy Duty. Its Size And Shape Is The Smallest It Can Be In Order To Miss Rocks And Trail Obstacles Altogether, Allowing The Tires To Reach The Obstacle In Order To Grip And Pull The Jeep Up And Over. But In The Event The Skid Does Make Contact w. The Terrain, The Beefy 3/16" Plate Steel Will Protect, While Its Slanted Design Helps Slide The Jeep Up And Over. Poison Spyders Signature Oval Lightening Holes Remove Excess Weight. Spydershell Is More Than Just Powder Coating Its A Complete System That Includes The State Of The Art In Preparation, Application, Materials And Packaging To Ensure That Your Spydershell Products Stay Looking Great For Years. Our Proprietary 6-Stage System Starts w. Media Blasting The Entire Part, To Remove Contaminants And Prep The Metal Surface For The Best Possible Adhesion. The First Coat To Be Applied Is A Zinc-Rich Powdered Black Primer, Which Is Baked On To Form An Impenetrable Bond Between The Metal Product And The Coating. The Primer Is Black--Rather Than Traditional Gray--So That Any Rock Chips Or Trail Dam. Are Less Conspicuous.
